Well, here in Europe:
You will know sign when you receive 3 kisses each on your cheek from your German friends is "show you how much they like you very much & thought about you as their good friend".

You will know sign when you receive 2 kisses each on your cheek from your German friends is "like you as friend".

It depends many kinds of sign, you receive is shaking the hand from German friends is "just friend" or sort of "mistrust" or know you from other clubs etc.

I receive like this for years but I didn't get germ yet :thumb:
