Kill switch for phone

more and more smartphones are compatible with any (or most) technology in the world. my iPhone is a world phone. it works just fine in Canada and France.

but as for other smartphones... it depends on what kind of technology it has. for example - if my American phone is CDMA, then it would work only in country with CDMA technology.

Not just American, CDMA technology works fine on Mexico and Canada. I was there before with my old Treo 700p CDMA under Verizon.

that's what I just said.........

I bought my phone in America under Verizon.... therefore an American phone... and I've used it in Europe and Canada....

Umm no.

iPhone 5 already have both GSM and CDMA. That's mean it works fine for Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, and ATT. Don't matter where you bought it from. Treo 700p don't have BOTH GSM and CDMA. Just Verizon Treo 700p mean CDMA only. That's mean It won't works in Europe. :slap:

dude. calm down. I was making an example. I've never stated a specific phone nor a specific country. you are basically repeating exactly what I've said in different words!

I repeat... for example - if my American phone is CDMA, then it would work only in country with CDMA technology. and I've already explained that my iPhone is a world phone therefore it can work in many countries.

do you understand? are you just confused or what?

Only in country mean USA only? Right?

no...... what I said is that if my phone has CDMA... then it would work in ANY country with CDMA.... understand?

So Europe don't have CDMA and you said iPhone works fine Europe because it would work in country with CDMA technology. I disagreed with you. In fact, Europe use GSM technology. Again, iPhone 5 already have BOTH GSM and CDMA which why it's works fine for Europe. That's mean other mobile with CDMA only which won't works in Europe. Understand?

that's not what I said....... I gave 2 different explanations.

it's time to move on....

Not in Australia - CDMA towers has been taken down for past few years.
