Kids can't see Nutcraker b/c of the Christmas tree

When I first heard the sound bite for this story I thought some parents may be uptight about with the way the men were dress . The reporter did not say in the sound bite why parents were upset about the play. Has people goes nuts , if they do not like the play keep their kids home , why spoil it for the whole class.

Sad really. What's next no more holiday decorations.....what about the Christmas tree at the White House, malls, stores etc. Some parents just drive me crazy.

I just now got to looking at this and they have changed their mind. The kids are going to get to go. But some are afraid it will come up again next year and they will have to fight for it all over.

Not parents. It's religious issue that makes parents to decide

Then parents can keep their kids home and not spoil it for the whole class.
Looking at Christmas is not going to change people religious . I been to a church a few times and I am still Jewish . I went to a small private school and one of my teacher was putting on a little Christmas play and there were about 5 girls in the class and the teacher asked me if I would be ' Mary' and my parents were fine with it . I was about 14 yo and sat on the floor holding a doll and after the play was over I still was Jewish.

I know that , and that is why I wrote the title of my thread that way b/c this is going to an ongoing thing.

As far as your title goes, I thought kids could not see the show because the a tree was positioned in a way to block their view.

You're guys are  and not very up to date, there been a huge issues about Christmas trees and my title is correct b/c the parents were complaining about there being a Christmas tree on the stage and would NOT let their kids see the play. There is nothing wrong with the way I worded my title. It's not my fault you're not update on what is going on in the world. Angel1989; Reba and FF got it .

Errm.. I am pretty sure they are 'up to date' with what's going on in the world- pretty big assumption on your part. I am aware of all the goings on, bitching, complaining, 'issues' that litter the world and I almost thought the same as they did- that the Christmas tree must have been so big that where the kids were sitting they could not see the play clearly (it happens) not that because parents had a bee in their bonnet about there being a Christmas tree. Why they did I don't know as one IS part of the Nutcracker play (if I can remember- my grandmother took us three to see the Nutcracker many many years ago- I don't remember much as I couldn't hear a whole lot but the visuals I do remember were awesome).

MAYBE Angel, Reba and FF "got it" AFTER they read the article. I was talking about reading the TITLE before I even opened the thread.
