For those who are deaf. I was just wondering if you could hear anything you wanted what would it be? I tried to put myself in a deaf persons shoes I thought about that. I don't mean to make this a sad post, I'm just curious?

Air Force pilot. That's my longtime dream ever since I was young. My father used to work at one of military bases to develop the missiles so he had a special permit which allowed us in at one of air force bases and I saw the warplanes. I don't remember what kind but from that day, I knew what I want to be when I got older.

But I found out that I can't be a air force pilot because of my deafness. So here I am.
 
oh that must hurt, I always wanted to sing in musicals ,but i highly doubt i can with my small siezures i have. I just have this fear they might get in the way. I guess thats why i don't go for it.
 
I want more than anything to be able to hear my children's voices or laughters, because all my families always say " I wish you could hear him, he sounds soo cute" now that makes me even sad.. :(

Yeah, it does hurt but it faded away :)

Ah about your seizures, I'm sorry to hear that :-/ But I'm curious (I hope it is ok to be curious), what kind of music do you plan to sing? I wonder because some people with certain conditions sung at their homes while recorded their songs and shared it with some radio broadcasters and such.
 
musicals/broadway like ..phantom of the opera, les miserables, jesus christ superstar, cats.. although dressing up like a cat sounds weird to me lol. As for recording artist i don't know.

Yeah, I know... They told me about this. I wish to hear my children voices sometimes. :(
 
I wish I would could hear music and sounds from t.v... my daughter loves music and I can see that she understands the expression from music. I always wonder what that feeling is like.. My hearing friend loves music and dances along with it too.. I just wish I could dance with music, but I can't. That drives me crazy. Otherwise, I'm glad I'm deaf for a lot of reasons.
 
I can hear the music and dance along but I just wish to hear the words. Alot of time I dont understand it but was able to find the song in the book or paper along with the CD, Tape or Record. I will sing a long once I knew the words.
