Just missed accidents without hearing aids on

True. My mom didn't see when the ambulance came close and hit her because she was too busy listening to the music. Thank god. She's OK! She came home and told me about it. She wanted me to know about the hearing status. How sweet of her!

I agree it has nothing to do with hearing status. Maybe Lucky for them to hear but not totally reliable. using eyes is wise to check out.

oh, i need to clear up the tiny misunderstanding thing. My mom's car was fine and so were ambulance vehicle. They did stop both and the other just passed and slightly hit her car when they were in hurry. So, it did hit.

The point I got out of it was that she was hit because she wasn't paying enough attention.

Deaf or hearing, accidents are most likely when we are not paying attention to our surroundings. Or because someone else isn't.

And sometimes, accidents just *happen.*
