I am not going to vote. I don't know where to vote and how to sign up.

You can sign up to vote on your cell phone in my state you need a driving license to do this . I would think every state had this too.

My son is excited to vote. He turns 18 on Nov 1st. Here in Texas if you'll be 18 by the Election Day you can register 2 months before your birthday. So we'll be registering him Sept 1st. He can't vote in the primary, he's bummed about it :)

That's cool but I'm wonder about why Texas doesn't accept student ID as photo ID to vote like other states did?

You have to register, you can't just show up at the polls with ID and not be registered. That's just when you can register.

Oh it's late, I'm tired, I don't think most states accept school ID you have to have state issued IDs as far as I know.

could be any number of reasons. I found this site--

http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/voter-id.aspx

And in the list of states that require some sort of photo ID I only counted 14 that specifically said student ID (or ID from high school or any institution of higher learning). Some states require that the Student ID be from a school IN that particular state (Kansas is one of them). Other states are rather vague on what exactly they want in the form of photo ID. I know Gally had photo IDs but I wonder if there are schools that have student IDs that don't have photos.

Pretty interesting reading. Might save this site in case I wind up moving this year before November...

Edit- whoops while I was reading the site- two more posts popped up lol. Seems that a small percentage do allow Student IDs (noted above). Would be a lot easier if all the states had the same standard lol.

22 states don't require any form of ID.

Oddly, Texas accept CCW permit as souce of ID to vote but they don't accept student ID.

Alabama accept student ID if public or private universities are in state and must be photo too.

Guess what! The USA is made up of 50 DIFFERENT states. They do not do everything the same way. I doubt all states have the ability to sign up on their cell phone. Never heard about it in my state. And guess what. Voting booths are different in the different states. Some are electronic, like in my state, some are paper. Remember the vote count controversy in FL - the hanging chads?

The candidate that I had hoped would run in 2016 is running...but now I'm at a cross-roads whether to vote for him...another candidate is on my mind...I do know of 3 that I would not vote for.

 You need a driving license in most states yes but not all states require documentation to register/vote.

Oh, right you didn't see my post and link about what ID/documentation you need per state...

No kidding. Some states do allow you to register online (I would assume mobile phones fall in that category) but I doubt all have that capability. At least one state (WA) is mostly mail in votes. I know for sure I registered online for NC but can't remember how I did it in SC (feel like I had to go somewhere). Even the electronic voting machines were different between NC and SC.

Voting accomplished. It was busy at my polling place.

No need to disclose anything.

I just wanted to know if it's just me that's indecisive at this stage. I wish that SC didn't have its primary so soon.

In our state, anyone can vote in any party's primary (but just once). Too many options!

Illinois is March 15. So, I got time to make adjustments. :/ Not that it matters this late! But, will do it anyways.

Yes, that's true and our county is still using ballot paper.

It looks like nearly all countries in my state is using ballot paper since electronic ballot is common in battleground state.

I will need more time to watch those candidates closely before vote.

Wisconsin, I'm pretty sure......
Thanks for the tip.

I looked up Wisconsin. It wasn't a presidential primary election but local and state.
