It sounds like that God's punishing these people who did the sin before Jesus came. Also, God's probably testing these people to see if they follow God or evil, like tempting them into evil to see how strong they are to resist the evil. That's what I believe.

I don't believe that he would accept all sins because God wouldn't be happy with how the war Iraq is going on because he doesn't like wars as well.
