About the only thing I know him for is the song "Up Where We Belong" (duet with Jennifer Warnes) from the movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" -Gere & Moore. I think there used to be some skits on SNL about how he performed- he wasn't the most graceful in appearance and movement when he sang and his voice was quite unique. He was a bigger hit in the 1960s & 1970s near as I can tell.I really have no idea who that was.
John Belushi did a great impersonation of Joe Cocker during his time on SNL. Cocker also had a great live album Mad Dogs and Englishmen in the early 70s.
Right on cue. Lol
SNL is not the same anymore , I use to watch it all the time when it first came on TV.
Geesh, another death in "our" (spouse and myself) age bracket. This stuff is spooky to me now.
Joe Cocker was a musician (rocker) and he played at Woodstock. There's more on the internet and my spouse's brain (who went to the Woodstock). I was not into his music but he was an icon to many.
