At least 2 Million dollars already spent on legal defense, probably now at 4 million dollars. So much already lost for what? Could have forget about death penalty, these millions of dollars could be put good use on something else. Sad!

Yes, I followed that case since. Tons of drama!

I agree , a lot of money is spend on people who are not worth it. I bet a lot was wasted on the Boston bomber too. And the trial is not over yet , the jury has to decide if he live or dies.

Total legal cost that john q. Taxpayers is footing the bill. Its costing way more than the cost to live in jail for rest of life.

It would have save state if had they abolished death penalty. No need to have massive bills upfront, throw in jail cost average $25k per inmate, 100 years, it would just be 2.5 million dollars.
 
Dont forget, if true business she gets death penalty, the appeals are required and its gonna add more cost on the top of massive legal bill... worth it? I dont think it is.

District Attorney won't reveal how much it cost taxpayers... Tried to get her executed for what? What a waste of money!

That doesn't answer my question. Did she hire a private lawyer or use a public attorney to defend her?

BTW, she's sentenced to life without parole. No death penalty for her. However she wanted a death penalty if she'd be found guilty because she didn't want to be in the prison for the rest of her life as per one of her interviews with the reporters.
 
Two things already announced in the media, its public defender, second Jodi changed mind and don't want death penalty and DID begged to spare her life in death penalty phase. I followed the news from the start to end.

She is very hypocrite person.

Oh, alright she had a public defender in court. Even though a public defender doesn't make high pay as a private lawyer, you mentioned $2 millions spend on legal defense. Are you saying that $2 mil from our tax went to her public attorney?
