After waiting 6 weeks for special order cabinet and my parents without a kitchen for the time, They have finally arrived. I got the bases, countertops and sink install these past 2 days so they can finally start using it. Next is to install 22 double stacked cabinets, crown moulding and ceramic back splash... oh what fun it is....NOT

even a battle wound out of the ordeal !

Wondering why you didn't do the upper cabinets before the lower ones? Everything I have ever watched installs the uppers first so you can get closer to the wall and not have to reach to far over the lower ones.

Because my heads too big and my arms are too short?
No, because we are doing a custom backsplash and crown moulding so I don't know where the starting points are, needed the lowers done first so I can take my measurements off the finished countertop. If it was just simple as throwing up a few cabinets then yeah, slap em up n go!

Ok Firefox isnt pulling up AD, but IE does???? odd?

Ok, yesterday I took it easy to an extent....
Then today went all crazy on myself....lol

Just need to install the microwave, then grout the tiles.
Install the pantry and cabintes around the fridge and its completed.

besides the crown molding and trim work...its done

Will there be hardware on the cabinets?

Is that a child/puppy gate in the window?

WOW ! That looks beautiful! Did you put up the top cabinets by yourself? When I had new ones put in it took two men to do it. I hope your mom is going to buy a year supply of Pepsi !

My mom wants handles, my dad and I say no...sooo its up in the air right now. Yes theres a child gate ( from my daughter/son ) that my parents had to keep them from climbing the stairs at a young age, now its used to keep the cats out of the blinds... we are debating putting stained glass film on the windows and eliminate the blinds. So until then, its almost completed.

Yes, I installed a 2x4 on the wall to "sit" the cabinets on until I got them screwed down then removed it. Makes the job very simple for one person.
