Make b hand, with fingers pointed towards neck, drag horizontally across.

Just curious.

can you post a video of it. The "across the neck" part is confusing. I've seen something similar to it, but its not a sign, more of a physical idiom. I've seen it used like 'if you do this, (movement here" imply your dead) But besides that not that i know of.

try looking in the asl hand-shape dictionary- you can look up signs that use a B hand. If i had one I would look, but I don't.

Yeah, that's what I mean. In speaking english, it is an idiom that references to death or "getting axed", something along those lines.

Is it an accepted practice in ASL is what I am wondering.. so I can apply proper use of it in the future.

Nope! Mostly "die" or "impeding death" "bad idea" kind of sign.
Instead of just the standard turn two hands over for dead.

Cutting off your head with your fingers means "bankrupt."

Alright. I dug for a long long time and I found a video of what I'm talking about. Only thing is he's using the H finger but eh, B or H both in this case I guess. It's not the bankrupt Botti, but thanks for reminding me that one, I almost forgot it!.

Starts after 14 seconds in.

In the video, it appears to be more or less threatening .. like "you're dead meat" ..

Before seeing the video, my thoughts were: 1) I'm done (or you're done), 2) enough (like "that's enough") .. I have seen it used both ways.

So it has been used during convos before right? interesting!
I know I have seen it somewhere.. but I wasn't sure and wanted to ask before attempting.

I think it's universal. Whether deaf or hearing.

Same as the f*ck y*u sign is universal.

I really lol'ed. lol!
