Is The White House Aglow In Blue Lights?

In honor of the five police officers killed in Dallas, has the White House turned on the blue flood lights? I haven't seen them.

but they did lower the flag to half staff to honor the death of police officers.

Why would they light blue lights for fallen police?

I don't think there is a precedent for the support of police officers but the White House has done so for other tragedies..and celebrations.

While I like the idea I suspect the biggest reason that perhaps they didn't is that the White House would perpetually be lit in Blue- as officers die nearly every day across the country. The Dallas incident was highlighted because it was associated with a protest, a sniper(s) and 5 dead with 6 additional injured. Or maybe they're working on it..:dunno:

:hmm: Maybe once a month tribute to Police Officers until the madness stops (which sadly may be never).
 
Right - they've done that for other occasions. I have not seen any photos or videos of it this time as far as the White House, so I'm kind of guessing "not".
 
I do recall seeing pixs of the White House aglow with purple lights to honor Prince...then the rainbow lights to support gays...then Blue lights for the fallen policemen on FB....

but 49 slain innocent people are a bit different then 5 smoked cops..

interesting thing is here in canada we had 5 smoked cops a few years ago and before that a few more so on...

the country mourned of course, but it didnt halt the nation, it didn't bring waves of people to the streets, our pm didnt speak about it at nato summits ect ect

they new the risk when they put on the uniform, they are armed for a reason, there job has serious risks.

thats different then getting smoked out in a club having fun in orlando

if your going to change the color of the whit house for every tragedy well...

up here they usually just murder natives, and very few people in society give a shit about it,

thats how the mounties roll, and people were finding dead frozen innocent natives when the snows thawd,

The White House has it flag at half mast for the fallen police and ordered all flags at half mast. I notice not all the flags in city my weren't at half masts .
I was going to call to see why the flag wasn't at half mast and forgot to.

You could of called the White House and suggest blue lights to aglow on it.
I forgot which flag wasn't at half mast to call.

im surprised not all city or gov doesn't have flags at half mast
we up here, every cop shop they all half flags at half mast for the fallen, fire, and city places have flags at half mast
 
im not sure if the yanks put all theirs at half for the 5 who got blown away up here a few years back
they did send a contingent to the funeral though
 
Does not surprise me that the white house did not. Seems more and more government is happy to pit society against itself...

Yeah.... good luck with that... you probably won't even get to the right person. The White House probably gets thousands if not millions of calls on many topics including suggestions.

Murder of anyone is not something to "get over it" either...when we come to that where people will start saying "eh so what" that's the day I will know humanity has become ridiculously callous and unfeeling about the person killed (putting aside who or why they were killed).

I'll disagree with the thought that government is more than happy to 'pit society against itself'. Seems to me society and people at large are doing that all by themselves. Government is too busy playing in corporation's money and becoming an oligarchy.

OMG ! Some people don't get what Black lives Matter means ! This doesn't mean other lives don't matter ! That is not what being said !

I posted that a neighbor of mine who is a White policeman see nothing wrong this and that is NOT racist !


If you were talking to me I said nothing wrong ! I was saying I wanted to know a flag wasn't at half mast in my city ! I feel every flag should be for the fallen policemen.

No saying or even having an organization that says black lives matter is not racist. But by the very words and deeds of this organization it is racist. They actively and openly target whites, support hunting them down. Yet, if black lives matter what about the fact that cops kill way more whites than any other race or the fact that blacks kill way more blacks than any other race combined?

well to me anyway "get over it" doesn't mean "ah well"
but language is weird..i'm not opposed to the opposite of "get over it" which is languish and forever morn in paralysis's, if that's what people wish to do with themselves
im just that guy that always plows through it,

as for humanity being callous i dunno, the 20th century gives us allot more to go that route then 5 cops slain...you know, poison gas, nukes, death camps, holocausts, mass genocides....entire cities vaporized by carpet bombing, whole scale rape of captured women, the slaughter of new born infants...on and on and on and on and on and on it goes.....

humanity has been callous since we left the caves...

the gov playing in corporations money at the expense of all others and becoming an oligarchy (it is already) is one of the factors pitting people against it.

5 cops slain.
it hurts to state
but its going to get a hell of allot worse then 5 cops slain.
my opinion anyway and i really hope to be proved wrong.
