Is Mayflower Sprouting a Bud?

i was going to say something.. but i didn't want to send out negative messages/misleading messages... i am glad you brought this up..

just a tad bit advise.. (i learned this from my close friends) ... it is better to keep the pregnancy MUM UNTIL SHE PASSES HER 3RD TRIMESTER.. that way you guys will know she is "safe" .. if you get my drift.. and then you GUYS CAN ANNOUNCE TO THE WORLD ALL YOU WANT!! ;)

because my close friend who had her baby yesterday.. miscarried last summer.. wished she never told anyone about her first pregnancy cuz they were devastated.. so when she got preggers for the 2nd time.. they kept IT MUM UNTIL SHE PASSED HER 3RD TRIMESTER...

but i understand your excitement.. it is very normal for first-timers... but like you said... KEEP THE FAITH!!! so hang in there!!! ;)

MUM til after the 3rd trimester Yikes she will be showing at that time. It's better to mum til after the 1st trimester. :D

Yeah, you’re totally right. Even if a person is pregnant, there’s so many things that can go wrong that it’s pretty pointless to announce it before the third trimester. And you’re also right that because it’s our first baby, we got all excited and started telling the world as soon the stupid stick turned red. So I guess it’s a little too early to announce my Official Alldeaf Baby Naming Contest. (But if it’s a boy, I was thinking of maybe naming him ‘bbnt.’ What do you think)?

bbnt jr??

how about chimpie jr?? :D

Right—if you make it past the first trimester, statistically speaking, you’re in the clear.

Actually, I was thinking of naming him ‘bbnt,’ copyrighting the name, and then suing bbnt for copyright infringement.

i wonder if bbnt ever reads anything in here even though he hasn't been "active" lately... hmmm....

I agree with you to keep mum about being preggy until pass first trimester.

I miscarriaged my first child nearing end of the first trimester. Took me another two years and finally having given a birth to my son. two yrs later, another son.

Wow, I can't believe I missed this thread...

It sure looks like it. I just took another test, a different brand, and the result was the same. I am late on my period, so it is looking more to the direction that I am pregnant. I will know for sure on Friday when I go for my appointment to verify my condition. :)

OOOO This is sooo exciting! As I read in other forum as well of how you guys can't wait to get started to become pregnant and now there's very possibility that you are pregnant! This baby that you will have will be very well cared of and loved. That baby is very fortunate to have parents like you!

Well, let’s not jump to any hasty conclusions. I’m 43, and Mayflower is 46. So we’re both prepared for the possibility of a miscarriage. All we can do right now is keep our fingers crossed. :fingersx:

thats why i said in my previous post >>> try to keep it mum if she is preggers until she passes her 1ST TRIMESTER DUE TO HER AGE.. otherwise you guys will be VERY DEVASTATED and people will BE ON YOUR BACKS which is not worth it... trust me on this one ;)

my cousin had her first child at the age of 41 and 2nd at 47... she was damn lucky!!! so KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!!! :thumb:

Levonian and Mayflower,

I am really hoping you two will get to experience the joys of bringing a child into the world. Wishing you all the luck.

Cheers
