It's a music player. If you want vibration, get an iPhone.

I just don't get why people are getting upset here. Why should a music player have vibration? Apple doesn't make design decisions to cater to the deaf community people.

You know why the vibrate feature would be beneficial:
FaceTime Calls.
New Mail Coming Alert.
Alarm.

If 5th gen. iPod Touch or iPod Touch w/3g will appear, should be vibrate feature.

Why would you receive mail on it? It's a music player. If you want mail, use your phone or laptop.

Alarm, it makes noise like an alarm should. Even my HTC DROID Incredible does not vibrate when the alarm goes off, it's makes a noise. I don't know what the iPhone does.

As for FaceTime, I don't even know how that will work. Because currently the iPhone4 has to make a phone call before establishing a FaceTime connection. (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Well, iTouch is a dumbed down iPhone. The only difference it has no cell phone support in 4th generation models.
 
I had stopped at Apple store to see demo iPod Touch today. I had found out sound feature on iPod Touch Settings.

Vibrate on iPod Touch was nothing.
