My son has own itouch and I listen his complaint about itouch's crappy battery life. he received a gift by relatives. I asked him, I can lend his and watch movie @ clinc. He is right about itouch's battery life is VERY POOR! my sons words is match with CEO MARK's words about battery life..

Are you refer to The Highlander?

If so he is my best friend and I chat with him at most of time. Your statement isn't true because he has numerous different resources about technologies and autos and tomshardware is one of most reliable source that help you to do with computers but if you think that tomshardware isn't good so that's fine and just your opinion. I use alot of resources, especially youtube as him does too.

It is real that he owns iPod Touch and he uses it for his auto purpose, such as check the engine issue, gas meter, RPM, etc. The battery life for iPod Touch that you play is depend on video format, if you use high resolution or have use more power for video so could affect battery life so faster than others. He maybe have tweak to save the battery life as well and he is no dependence on tomshardware about iPod Touch since he reality owns it.

Both of you and The Highlander need stop battle around and start thinking about something. If you reply his post in friendly or critical like disagree without any bashing so he will reply so friendly to you, just give a try.

I always read Purplecatty's posts gave his own resource, informational details, some feedbacks about computer, phone, etc. he is very good infomation and honest for instance. I can't put him down.. He is truly respect in this forums.

i have NO CLUE @ what heck foxarc talk about me and him.. I haven't any battle.. Have you find that my drama reply his posts somewhere this forums? I always ingore & pass his posts. I knew you the one told him about my little background without my permission.. he called my personal name, i turned it off BIG TIME.. I dont even know who is the fucking man nor met him in person my whole lifetime..I dont know his fucking name.. thanks for put between me and him for some fucking drama by you... .. stay out of my way, MY @$$ ISNT available, thanks..

Guys....

I want to share with you, I can understand that some "techie" guy want to prove that he is right or want to show that he's right. Everyone hate to feel like a failure. What you all need to learn and try to remember this, no one is right. The devices itself or any equipments have certain purpose for individual, to fit their needs. One person is comfortable on one device whereas other device is not.

Now talking about battery issues, let me tell you, no devices are a winner. It just simply they can buy an additional hardware to keep up with battery.. re: auto charger, external battery pack or whatever. With my previous posting talking about "Battery is the biggest issues" but remember nothing will last for long time. You all look like an idiot that you all expect battery going to last for 5 hours or 10 hours or 2 hours... woopeee dooo!! If you are an heavy user of watching movies, then that person will choose a device that will last for 5 hours... if a person is heavy user of using tethering, well tough luck, you not gonna find anyting that will last for 2 hours. You know what I mean?

So, why you all so focus on which is better, but you don't see what other people outside of AD that have their own preferences and they know they there's no winner.

What you all doing is focusing who ever owned the devices don't want to feel shamed and want to show himself or herself that him or her's device are the best. I can see some people feel that he or she purchase that device is a mistake. Don't feel bad about that!!! you have a reason to purchase it and be happy with it regardless what other person is saying.

So, chill out guys!

There's something else that you all need to think about. Just talking about "name calling" or "attacking someone" or saying "You are wrong!" or whatever, don't you realize that there are many newbies out there asking for help but they will read all the post first before asking for help. Many newbies are afraid to ask on this AD forum because they don't like how you all respond negativitly. So they will backed out and look for somewhere else for help.

So, try to learn to be more civil and try not to scare other newbies off. Secondly if you feel being bully or attacked, just ignore him or her and move on.

I be wiling to share with you about my personal life. I will start with my name, Scott. I work with computer technology for over 30 years (I'm 51 years old) and I'm expert with Unix, Linux, Windows, Mac and so forth. I also have lot of knowledge with hardware components, going from little tiny chips to large resistor power thing-a-majig, you can name it. I was former embedded system programer that I can design a program inside a chip that produce a webpage, even I was a former assembly programmers for IBM 360/370 systems, and work with DEC (Digital Electronic Corporation), I even work with Marriot Hotel as a liason betwen the Marriot and the francise owner to change the new network technology, going from dial up to ISDN network. So, now I work for KEYW Corporation as MIS (Management of Information System), that we all work for military contracts, like building electronic component for top secret projects. And now last part... gasp! I formely work for Sorenson for 4 years and I resign last November.

Nice info. I used IT Networking. I have pretty experience from DOS, Win 3.11 to 7, OSX 9 to OSX 10, and some Linux. I never tired on UNIX before.

I lost interesting with IT as job.
Gasp again! I formely work for Sorenson too and I resign last November due FCC cut.

I become technician for gasoline and soon be diesel.

You are nice for your job. I former worked for Sorenson in three years to resign from them last three year ago. Then former worked for Purple in 2 1/2 years to cut from them to no longer use independent contractor.
