I've never messed with an Android / ChromeOS so I don't know, I can't make a judgment there. I've messed with others such as WindowsMobile (didn't like it), as well as the Mac software on the iPod Nano and iPod Touch. The Mac-type OS is nice and user friendly.

My brother has an Android phone and he says he likes it.
