Hi all,
Thank you for reading my introduction. My name is Alicia Castro, I am HoH. At age 9, I was diagnosed with a bilateral reverse hearing loss. My previous boss is deaf and he tried to teach me sign language. I did not learn much. I know the basic and will try to learn more during my free time. A little bit about myself, I have no children and never been married. I work as an Human Resources Assistant at NASA - I never thought this would happen to me especially having a disability.
Currently I am blogging about my hearing loss journey. Please feel free to visit my blog at www.embracehearingloss.com
I am very careful when I blog, my goal is to help others. I am looking for guest bloggers who are deaf and HoH. Anyone is welcome to comment, message, and be added as a guest blogger at my website.
I will provide more resources during my free time. I know a lot about the hiring process in federal jobs. I know how to write excellent resumes- that's how I got hired at NASA.
If you need any help, feel free to message me using my e-mail list in my blog (look at the bottom). I will help you for free. All I am asking is for you to give me an opportunity to learn more about your life, culture, and what else can be done to assist with your needs. Little by little, I try to learn new skills to perfect my social media links, coding, html. There's a lot of free resources out there. I want to help as many as I can.
The skills I offer you are listed below:
-LinkedIn
-FB Page
-Coding
-WordPress
-Couponing Tips
-Felting
-Resumes (I will revise it for you for free)
-Cover Letters (I will revise it for you for free)
Anything else I can help you with, please message me.
As soon as I pay off my student debt, I will start saving up money and create scholarships for hearing loss and deaf individuals by next year.
