Hello everyone. My name is Jay. I have recently been exposed to ASL, and I have found it to be... to be... It's difficult to even find a "word" to describe how I feel. It has been a very profound and enlightening experience, and I have yet to experience but a taste. I am eager to learn more. I plan on going back to school to be an interpreter. Any help is appreciated.

my suggestion, get involved in the deaf community, search for deaf chats in your area, contact local libraries, congress, churches etc...

I totaly can relate with you Jay. I am facing the same thing as you are. I love ASL and the Deaf community but it is hard to find anything in the imediate area. Keep on trying and one day you and I both will be an Interpreter.

I recently joined myself and I really love it! I too take ASL classes and plan to get into the Interpreter Training Program. I'll tell you what I tell myself - Don't get discouraged!
