I don't believe that link's claim, or maybe your referring to one of IE version, eh?

Nope seems to be true-- there are a bunch of hits for 'Is internet explorer going away?'- here's one link-

From what I figure-- they are probably going to ship a newer browser ("Spartan" right now) with Windows 10 but I suspect they will still support the older IE versions (8,9, 10 and 11).

Aha-- in this article it says that Microsoft will still include IE especially for corporate as so many still use IE (just about every job I ever had we had to use IE for testing... FireFox is finally starting to show up more for QA testing & development, same with Chrome.

Great, but if it's being phased out for a new one, this business of switching to other browsers is getting old!

At my current job we still use IE 8 because there are web applications that only work in that browser. You might think why don't we just upgrade IE or the web applications? Well, it's just too expensive to consider especially when we have over 5,000 staff and it just is not worthwhile to spend millions just to use a newer browser.

do this mean got get another computer I using windows 7 and have fiber optic

No, you don't need new computer. You just have to make sure that you're using a browser other than Internet Explorer, such as Chrome, Safari or Firefox. What browser do you have now?

I haven't used IE in years. I use Chrome. So I won't miss IE at all.
