Thanks for that link. It was interesting. It seems that in other animals, as well as human infants, brain reorganization toward the visual begins at birth. Just more validation for the fact that deaf children need to be provided a visual language as early as possible.

Pretty cool, and very understandable. If one sense is not working, the others will sharpen up to compensate.
