From what I know and read lot of iRacing members' comment on Intel & AMD.

Intel Pro:

High end CPU. More powerful. Able to handle high end software such as AutoCAD, iRacing (heavy CPU depended than GPU), etc.... More stability. Better Core management. Better power consumption.

Intel Con:

Expensive.

AMD Pro:

Cheap. Not high end CPU. Able to use high end software. Work better with graphic application.

AMD Con:

Not as powerful as Intel i7. Not best overclock CPU.

That's the best from my knowledge. I can be wrong on some parts... It all depends what are you using it for.

depend on brand on quality on computer/laptop lots different etc
Yes it inexpensive high costly. it is very really wise on make sure how figure your find out brand company better company!

Toshiba sucks - I had those laptop in 2010 and already broke in 2011.

Well, it's actually hit and miss. A friend of mine had one and it worked fine for about 3 years before she decided to buy new one.

Dell doesn't sell AMD CPUs - they seems to be strictly Intel based computers. HP do offer both Intel and AMD.

If OP prefers Toshiba, then go for it. The choice of laptop looks great for "everyday" usage.

AMD 10 on laptop seem run very fast as Intel 7. I plan to remove windows 8 and install Linux on it. I don't like Windows 8! :rl:

AMD 10 is worth and good budget for anyone who can afford. :D

Please run CPU intensive programs - it may not well as Intel.

Yes, that's his choice.

I recommended MacBook Pro to everyone. :cool2:

Only 3 years? Then it's bad. I own Macbook for 6 years and work great. Don't need to buy new one yet since my macbook is fast enough for everything that I need even youtube with HD.

She did not say she replaced it due to problem. She replaced it so she can have more powerful laptop for her work (IT department).

Who said problem? Read again. :)

I mean Most PC laptops with Windows alway slow down after 2-4 years and probably need re-format or replace hdd or upgrade ram or replace new laptop. My macbook don't need replace because it never slow me down yet. Again, it is 6 years old and works smooth and sometime I use it as network specialist.

I had old PC laptop and old netbook and not happy with them. PC laptop last 2-3 years then slow to me with new software. Netbook started slow down alot after 1 year and not even heavy software. Just use it for Pdf or scan tool. So reformat/reinstalled then sold it.

You don't have to say "problem." You basically replacing "problem" with "bad." (yes, I just put word in your mouth. lol) ;) :P

No argument from me. It all depends on how heavy you use on PC. I have a laptop from Dell that I have not re-format for over 5 years and it's still running fast. I only installed what I need for its purpose. But, my "everyday" and "gaming" PCs are usually re-install Windows once every year. Which is pretty much normal for heavily user.

FYI, Netbook is basically piece of [censor].

Yes, Mac is good PC - still too limited for me (customize, per se).

No, You still misunderstand. Bad don't mean problem. Someone not happy with it and replace new after 3 years due slow down which bad!

Maybe you don't have re-format for 5 years since you don't use it everyday. I use Macbook almost everyday for many years and update software as Office 2011,etc. No re-format need.

You still can't "customize" on the PC laptop like that. It's true that Mac is too limited and that's why I built a PC for gamer and heavy software.

Macbook is perfect for travel a lot, great battery life, perfect for network troubleshooting, etc. Not just OSX only, It can open with Linux and Windows 7 too.

I still hate most pc laptop's design and they are full of crap. You want powerful 3D game then laptop is not good idea and it would last 1 year for sure. (One of my customer's laptop as heavy game user and GPU died in 1.2 years and no warranty and other customer use laptop as normal game user then gpu got overheat issue and only 1 year old)

That's why I won't recommend most PC laptop.

Netbook isn't popular anymore so thanks to the God that I didn't buy at first place.

I put smiley at end of the sentence which means I'm not being serious. I mean, chill. sheesh... The friend of mine said she just need bit more powerful so she can work better with her department and she NEVER ONCE MENTIONED SHE HAD PROBLEM WITH IT (WHICH SLOW DOWN IS CONSIDERED A PROBLEM). When I asked her what she did with her old laptop, she said she continue to use it at home. I don't know why you jumped and said it's bad.

I missed the part where I said I don't use it everyday?? I used that laptop everyday at work.

You can upgrade hard drive, memory, even graphic card on PC laptop. You can't do that on MacBook.

Umm... okay....

There are gaming laptop out there - with proper cooling, it will not be a problem. I have seen few people using gaming laptop to run iRacing and Battlefield 3.

This thread isn't about PC vs Mac bullshit and let's stay on topic.

Or you was trolled? "just need bit more powerful" Sounds like she is not happy with her old laptop due "not powerful for her" If no problem then what's point to buy a new laptop? Sound like wasteful to me or not make sense to me. Why need two laptops? Just bring laptop from work to home to finish paperwork or bring it customer place for troubleshooting then go home.

I missed the part where I said I don't use it everyday?? I used that laptop everyday at work.

Are you sure?

You can upgrade hard drive, memory, even graphic card on PC laptop. You can't do that on MacBook.

Another moron PC user think Macbook are limited because it can't upgrade hard drive and ram. You are true noob. :laugh2:

upgrade hard drive? I prefer upgrade SSD over hdd.

Most newer PC laptop can't upgrade GPU anymore. Or you confused with PC desktop. Satellite S855D-S5148 is built-on GPU. You can't simple remove GPU off without the soldering skill.

Umm... okay...

Maybe you don't travel so much which why you don't understand battery is very how important.

No one like extra part and proper coolings are not alway work great if you heavy use it. I am sure few of your people's laptops will die really soon. The laptops wont alive or smooth after 2 years with proper cooling.

This thread is about hardware.

I guess you'll have to ask her, not me. It's her decision, not me or you.

Are you sure?

Yes, I'm sure.

I don't own MacBook and I don't give a fuck if it can upgrade.

What's the point of this argument? Are you trying to escalation the argument?

I guess you never heard of external GPU.

See my answer #2

I guess many people that have gaming laptop knew how to keep their gaming laptop cooler better than you do.

If you read carefully, the thread title says, "Intel 7 vs AMD A10 Laptop/Notebook. I don't see any "PC vs Mac" or "General Hardware argument."
