Also not anywhere near here. That's southwest of Chicago. They don't get their water from us.
Not all suburbs get their water from here-- many despise paying the city tax for the water. Many are importing their water from elsewhere, and avoiding the city taxes. I know a few northern suburbs are doing just that, like Deerfield, IL. They are importing their water from Highland Park, IL. Only way I know this is because a batch of that water got contaminated last December.

I don't see a good reason to not drink water - you can use filter pitcher - that's very common sense to use it.
The water is just same over city of Chicago.
Yup, I know. I'd much rather buy bottled water or Gatorade than drink the water here. And for a filter? Well, I suppose getting one wouldn't hurt.
I always drink filtered water or bottled water.
I tried to drink tap water from our city but it made me felt lousy due to a lot of calcium or other mineral in water - known as hard water.
It will be worse if you drink water from well.
Depends on where you live. Did that once, and it tasted pretty good. Those in Southern IL are well taken care of, and don't need much fixing.
False.
Get a filter, cut some lemons up, and enjoy. Flavored water can help if you have that much fear of the water in Chicago. Or boil the the water?
I've heard things about bottled water causing health issues to.
