I'm planning to get me an HDTV sometime next month...

If your talking about the black bars showing on above and below, black bars arent much of a problem to me since it seems most ppl would perfer a widescreen type instead but they just cost more so if I get the one with black bars, its not much of an concern to me since I did see black bars on my VGA monitor when I played Dead Rising and Gears of War, etc...so you know, I just rather play games on a TV instead and wanna get the perfect TV for Xbox360 and since most Xbox360 games support 1080i, I thought the one I wanted to get would still be perfert that way. even if its 4:3 ratio.

No, it wasn't from black bars but you would notice that text is more crowded and picture looks wide, also not good for 4:3 if you using 720p.

TV that support 1080i is HD but good display for 4:3 (fullscreen) but 720p is good for 16:9 (widescreen), it's up to you to buy one and if not like it then return to store.

I will order new HDTV from tigerdirect.com, that good deal, also offers free shipping for 3 days.

I tried to sell VGA cable at EBgames but checked 360 on SDTV with composite cable and looks soooo horrible, also graphic looks similar to PS2. I just rather wait until get new HDTV and would using component cable.

too much money.
How so true! I really understanding... but what if your girlfriend lived with you, there would be big different, you would be afford to buy samsang hdtv, you correct me if I am wrong! ;)

erm...I dont think so cause we arent living together now but if we do of course it would be major difference cause i'm only using most of the money for food.

Yup but most HDTV have display change, such as change into 4:3 or 16:9 but if you change to 16:9 on fullscreen then would get black bars on top and bottom and does support 720p if you change it.

Any HDTV that which is under 37" and support 1080p will be same as 1080i, also it doesn't make different.

I am agree with you, what my dad and Banjo says about it.

My dad have 38' inches HDTV with 1080p! ;)

Sometimes, I think about that, I would want go to my dad's house
without an hesitate! :pissed: So I would want to see HDTV with
CC for the first time! Jeez! It's not yet for me been already! I am jealous
of my dad have a HDTV with digital captioning! Hmm!

I would not get plasma. It is short life for plasma. They warned me about it. I read about it and they were right. It is not really popular for plasma.
45000 hours

24 hours a day X 356 days is 8544 hours
8544 hours a year x 5 years is 42720
So, it is not like I use tv for 24 straight hours every day for 5 years. So this tv will be longer than 5 years but I always replace it in every 5 years or so no matter how condition is.

doesnt matter. just dont get the piece of shit.

erm, chuchin plasma TVs are bad news for gaming.

Ask any other gamers out there and they will say the same thing.
The older models, yes it is but this is 2007 model and I am pretty sure they fixed it already such as most of our newer models offer a “GAME MODE” to minimize lag time between a gamers input and the resulting visual effect.
