Im new in the deaf community. Any help with understanding?

I'm 27. I went deaf in 2006 but due to lack of finacial help and other help I could not learn sign-language. I'm basically still starting out. Help with the latest techs and all other things would help including friends. I don't drive and there are no deaf people in my are.

You could try ordering books and dvds for learning sign and find people who could help. I looked up your town, and found that it's near Pittsburgh. I found this Deaf club Pittsburgh Association of the Deaf and other links when I googled 'Pittsburgh deaf'.
