Yeah I figured Houston was much bigger. I've passed through it before but I was asleep in a road trip haha. Driving in big cities I can handle but living is a different story for me.
Yes the views here are just stunning depending in what seasons you enjoy if not all.

The lake is one a little drive from my home and the other two are the sunset of my neighbors property.
Apparently another child was bullying me for being so short and one day on the playground he took a sharp #2 pencil and stuck it in my ear enough for me to bleed and scream. I remember nothin about the incident which isn't surprising to me considering I have issues with remembering. After my ear "healed" the school nurse gave me a very short hearing test which I could hear high frequencies of beeps and she told my mom I would be fine and wasn't deaf... So I was never taken for a HA fitting.
I learned about ASL in fourth grade (standard learning subject for that school) and fell in love with how easily I could communicate with others that were learning ASL as well.
We moved not much later and I wasn't able to continue my learning.
Only recently have I begun to pick up signin again and I've missed it so much. A gentleman was hired on in my department at work (he is PD) and has been gracious enough to teach me as we work together.
I have mixed feeling about the different "levels" of deafness because I can hear music if it's up loud and I have ear buds in. Wanting to share it makes my heart ache when I'm not able to.
