My name is Corbin and I am fairly new to the Deaf world, however my cousin and her husband are both deaf, and are actually teaching me at my local college! I have always been interested in ASl!

I have a exam due and one of the requirements is to talk to someone who attended a residential school and one who attended a mainstream school. anyone who is willing to help would be appreciated:)
my email is corbin.davidson@yahoo.com

Welcome to AllDeaf! :)

Good luck for your exam.

Hey.. I am an interpreting student, and i have found that the best way to get to know the people you seek is to get out there and meet them, if your college offers ASL chances are that they also offer interpreting, talk with some of the interpreting instructors and see if they know of any Deaf Culture event, such as Deaf Chats or Bowling, I have attended several of these types of events myself, and i find that they help in more ways than one, A) they help you work on your skills>>>and really, why wouldn't you want to do that? and B) you might just get lucky enough to meet some people who wouldn't mind you interviewing them!!! just put yourself out there, get involved!! i Promise no one will bite you!!! I have actually never met a single Deaf person who wasn't just as patient as they could be with my fellow classmates and I !!!!! give it a try, I promise, you won't regret it!!
