If something should ever happen to any of us...

I haven't thought of that, if something were to happen to me and you all wanted proof of it, you would take a look at my FB profile and I'm sure several people would leave RIP or get well soon messages. That would be the proof that it's the real deal.

Good point. I'll put info with my will. I want to know if anything happened to one of our members. It's particularly troubling when someone just disappears.

True.

My family knows about AD, because I've talked to them about it sometimes, but I don't think they would wanna come here and tell the world what had happened to me only people they know or people that know me personally. ;)

Just maybe my twin sister will. ;)

Don't think they would have to tell what happened to you. Just Cheri is dead.

That's enough. For some people this is like their family and they really want to know if you still live.

Yes, I agree with you. My fb would be enough proof.

Behind every screenname is a person. I care about your well being and it does trouble me when someone who is a frequent member disappears. I just wish everyone well but it does nag in the back of my head to whether if that member is still alive or not. These are people from our community. Just how I see things, I guess.

I got really close to an member on here but she disappeared in June, never heard from since... I have now realised that she'd prob never turned or something bad has happened. or she just has her own life. She is on my mind sometimes but there nothing I can do.

Right... and it's even more troublesome if you're a tight-knit community like the Deaf community.

I still hear about the old communities I was a part of... who got married, who got kids, who died, who moved and so on. AD is no different.

Exactly.

I wonder if that's something I will have to wonder with Jillio...we had gotten really close. *sighs*

Has nobody ever heard from November Gypsy? I know I asked this question before but she has been gone for six/seven months without warning, she usually disappears for a few weeks then returns n emails me then goes again but never longer than 2 months

Wow...her too.

I think Jillio and Sexyporkie are of some conern because of Jillio going into cardiac arrest and SexyPorkie having cancer.

What about if we come up with a secret word for eack of us to give to Alex and moderators that only us and one person that would tell if something should happen?
Like a secret question recorded on file.

I wouldn't give my password information out unless the situation actually came up. I have had people turn on me before and so wouldn't want them to have that information to use against me. If push came to shove, my wife would probably be able to guess my password correctly within a handful of guesses, though.

There are a few members on here that have my personal email and would probably email me to ask what's going on.

Very true!! I feel like we are all family and I need to know how the family is doing.

Hey Jiro!! How ya feeling?

How about this..

.. if I don't log in for 30 days, you can safely assume either one:

1.) I have a life
2.) I lost my life

I would just suggest that youse have someone to let Alex know what had happened to you privately. If possible, send him the proof that it is fact. If you want your online friends to know, request that Alex break the news on AllDeaf.

We don't want to go through like we did sevearl times in recent months.
