I want to make friends , where do i start ?

I've been learning ASL for about 8 months now and I've fallen in love with it. I'm even studying to become an interpreter ! I want to make more friends too , I don't know where to start ?
 
Im in the same position as you.I need to make new friends.can you please tell me about yourself? Also,Do you know any friends who live in SD?
 
Sign language clubs like one in our university would be a good start for you. We meet up, plan and make voluntary trips together. I don't feel I'm disabled in the club, even there are hearing people there, which is such a nice thing.
 
I live in New York state, but in an isolated area. It is very hard to find friends, let alone people who know ASL. School clubs are a great way to go if they are available to you. However, I am about to be done with college and if I don't move somewhere new I lose all contact with people who know ASL :( At least there are places like this where we can make friends.
