Seriously, you need to read a little bit more with subuaru
the car we have is 6 years old and runs fine as it is today - no problems.

that boat = about 2,000 lbs
boat trailer = about 500 lbs
people in car (4 people) = about 800 lbs
total weight = about 3,300 lbs.

now that's cheating. We're going by manufacturer spec. It's not designed to tow. It's not condoned by manufacturer. period.

My point that I disagreed with you that semi-trucks are 18 speeds. Don't mean ALL of them are 18 speeds.


Subaru don't need 8 speeds or 6 speeds even 2 speeds for towing at 5mph and that's it. Do you really need 2nd gear when you are on 5 mph?
