I have never had this experience at any deaf gathering. I think I have heard somebody fart maybe a couple of times at Gally. Most deaf people are aware that farts make noise and they control themselves, just like hearing people do.

I do not mind if hearies ask me questions, what I have a problem with is stupid questions like the one on this thread.
 
Yup, we control, just like anyone else the best we can, these colonic explosions from between our legs!

This hard-fought control produces a long list of explosions that have many a delightful descriptive adjective but I shall stop right here.

Sad to say, yeah - this does happen at deaf gatherings often. Some think passing gas is cute/funny. :ugh3:

Never having been to a deaf gathering I cant comment on that, but I can assure you that it happens at all gatherings, hearing or deaf. Its more to do with the lack of culture and manners of some people. There will always be those who think it is hilarious to let rip in public, have to wonder about their upbringing really......so sad.
