I swore he sounds like a young man. It's just the way he talks. I grew up next to the USMC base seeing young men moving in and out.

You're probably right. It just seems odd that he would use a fake birthdate. I mean, especially to appear middle-aged, what's the appeal there? :lol:

:lol: I think this young gentleman wants to look mature. He probably had a bad day nor had argument with his girlfriend, so he came online to create a thread here to cool off.

Pretty sure he has never had a girlfriend. And that he lives in his single/divorced/widowed mother's basement.

And that she doesn't allow him much independence.
 
I see red flags in a man who doesn't find communication important and likes a woman to be silent (either figuratively or actually). That sounds controlling to me, and also like someone who has an inability to relate thru equal dialogue.

Of course, he can refute my supposition. Maybe we're just getting off on the wrong foot, and he can re-boot his introduction. :)

You people obviously just want to hate me otherwise you'd actually pay attention. Communication is very important. But I hate communicating with somebody through speech. Too much information gets passed through at once and nobody can remember everything. The whole point is to build a stronger relationship.
 
No, we're not haters. Just cautious when anyone's first post is about how much they love deaf men/women/culture or ASL. It comes across a little strange and suspicious.

Ty, we aren't haters at all. The truth is the communication is important to us. We like to communicate with somebody through hands (ASL). It's the same as 'speech'. *hold up my wiggling fingers.* See my hands? I would never shut up. Welcome to reality.

Do you have ADD? If not, then are you talking about trivial stuff? Trivial stuff is important to us girls. If a guy remembers my birthday date, and favorite color, then that would be great and a big A plus.
