If it were in someone else's house I suppose I'd be okay with them, but not in mine! :P

Usually Chrome pipes make your hands bit sweaty, thus you get a grips on the Chrome stair. I do not think it's dangerous. I've seen chrome rail at Mall, Hospitals ect so it wouldn't make any difference. Unless you use hand lotion which will make it slippery.

How about connect to real diesel engine? Your hands would get 2nd degree burns in 1 seconds.

 I know. I have Cruiser motorcycle, hot exhaust do scald your skins if you touch it. Got several friends including my son and my wife got their calf skin burned from motorcycle hot chrome exhaust. If your leg touch hot motorcycle chrome, you'll jerk your leg out of the way :eek2:

Weird choice for use as a rail. At first, I would think it would be an attempt to use a plumbing or gas line doing double duty as a rail. Wouldn't touch it!

I'd have more of a problem touching it because it's shiny and I'd worry about finger printing it. I have one of those stupid shiny fridges that finger prints.... makes me SO angry! I don't like to print up the shinies. :D

That's why I wear boot and jean when I ride on my cruiser motorcycle. I never forget that someone wear short and he got nasty scar like 6 inches from his old supersport.

Same for us--long pants and boots.

My mom burnt her leg once when riding on the back of my dad's Indian Chief (before I was born). After that, she always wore long pants and boots. Back in the day, they didn't wear jeans but pants like equestrian/jodhpur pants.

I've never actually burned myself on my bike's exhaust, but roadkill has and it stank for the longest time. I always wear my protective gear, to include boots as all riders should.
