I know, Pacman. I later mentioned that Madden08 and Cod4 are also on Ps3.
It is a violation of the warranty, of course. I probably won't do it unless I had to. BUT if I did it, it would eliminate the 3RLOD, and I would never have to send it to Microsoft... Gee.
Oh, I'd like to state that while I am an avid 360 player, achievements mean little to me. I don't start a game and look at the achievements and set a goal to get 1000/1000 or 1250/1250(Gears of War, Oblivion). BUT I will admit some achievements are fun, like the Terrorist hunt ones in Rainbow Six Vegas, I had a lot of fun helping people complete the all maps beaten achievement, because I knew the maps well enough to finish all terrorists off even if 3 of my teammates died. (T-Hunts are 4p, but possibly 8p in Vegas 2 in March)
I WILL admit that 'online' achievements ruin the multiplayer experience sometimes. For example, Mongoose Mowdown in Halo3... I played in a Free for all, and this guy was going nuts trying to get just one splatter with the goose on the Isolation map. Also, there is 'Achievement boosting' rooms if the game has online achievements. I guess everything has its pros and cons.
