It would be very rare indeed if a child had CLL. I think you must mean another type of blood cancer.
It is possible to live out a normal life span with CLL, even without treatment. There are several fine CLL forums out there. There is hope.
There are 4 important prognostic markers to know. Be sure to get these tests: zap-70, IgVH, CD 38 and FISH. Do not be told you cannot get these; you can but you may have to be persistent.
