I Hate to Eat ...

doctor? what's that? god you mean? oh yeah, those gods ...

but of course anyone with this stupidity don't the thread wholly - my "mama doesn't cook for me" was in the response to jiro's sarcasm. also a clarification; I am eating fine but I want to eat better.

again, I don't eat very much of meat, junk food or sweets like you. and how am I to be a three years old boy when it comes to a sensitive stomach? it's not about what I want crap. read my post above about a woman, last I recall she's 34 years old. and afterall this is a community where one might relate to my stomach/appetite problem to share some ideas. if it's my attitude you have problem with then it's yours.

Then by all means eat better. Drink smoothies or something. I dont have a problem with you, but the way you posted this was like, "i have food but i dont eat it anyway" You let it go to waste, etc. Its really not that hard. You pick it up withyour hands or fork, and place it in your mouth, if your stomach is senstive then eat what isnt sensitive. And if you cant eat at all, you go see a doctor. Really its just common sense. I'll quit posting in this thread and ill apologize if i may seem a tad harsh/out of line here but really your problem is elementary and it brought out a reaction in me, sorry :)

"I don't eat it anyway" because I found I am allergic to it ...

"I let it go to waste" because I just ate it a couple of days ago or few days have already passed as they rot..

"...then eat what isn't sensitive" doesn't give me much of choice to eat whatever I want.

"your problem is elementary" because you don't understand how hard this is.

hey, thanks for the idea, smoothies! I should try some ... maybe with some blueberries. since I am more of fruit-ian. see, god isn't everything. or would have thought of it before you.

be kind.

those are only I can live on for weeks are salads, mangoes, cheeses and avocados ...but that, obviously, is not very healthy. and only time I eat good is when I am with my friends. I rarely do breakfasts.

 Huh?!? Salads, mangoes, cheese and avocados aren't healthy?!? WTF???? Those except cheese are healthy enough. Eating cheese in moderation is just fine. But I can't see why you think those aren't healthy. They're just fine for you. My son's girlfriend is a vegetarian. She eats like that and also some pasta.

I don't see anything wrong with that if you keep eating salads, mangoes, cheese and avocados. If you can't eat anything else, that is all right as long as YOU ARE STILL EATING. However if that is bothersome, have a doctor check you out to make sure you're ok. But otherwise you'll do just fine.

do you have whole food store nearby? or pathmark? You should frequent to a place like those because they have food stands inside. It's got variety of choices for you to pick.

Freckles,

I'm the same way. I get tired of eating the same foods all the time, so I have to make sure to vary what I eat from day to day. I also get migraines from certain foods (like cheese), so that's also something I need to be careful of. This probably isn't the most healthiest, but have you thought about eating single serving T.V. dinners or microwaveable foods? They're easy to prepare and you won't have to worry about them going bad since they are stored in the freezer.

Try stuff that won't go bad too quickly like Granny Smith apples. I put my stockpile of bread into the freezer except for one in the refrigerator so they won't go moldy.

I also use hummus as a dip with crackers. It could also be used as a spread in sandwiches. There are different kinds like regular, garlic and red pepper. It's made of chicken peas. I buy the larger cans for $3-5.

Try different kinds of salads with different dressings and vinegars. I make mine out of spinach and other vegetables and sometimes add fruit like apples.

I do like pizza. unfortunately you know what happens when you eat it all the time. remember in the other (flu) thread, my stomach kicks any buttery, oily or anything greasy out.

can you explain more about celiac disease? ...I wonder why a several food are my migraine triggers. I know a woman who never had any food allergy until she became 34 years old and now is allergic to about 80% of ingredients...no kidding. as much as she loves chocolate, I can't bake her brownies with milk, eggs, whipping cream, butter or nuts or even plain oatmeal cookies. I hope I'm not becoming like her. :aw:

Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I had to take my mom to hospital because of sinus infection. She's okay. I'm subscribed to "General Chat" thread if u want more info.

Celiac Disease as I understand it, and I was diagnosed via endoscopy many years ago, so I've replaced a lot of my doctor's description with homeopathic stuff, so it may not be accurate enough for science, but it's good enough for the average person I think:

The short version is, I can't eat anything with gluten in it or I wont digest anything for like 6 weeks.

The longer, but (hopefully) brief version:

Okay, this is gonna be a little off topic, but since you asked, I hope nobody minds.

This may be true for several different toxins, but I'm gonna use mercury because it's the most likely. Okay, A person is exposed to mercury, and it enters the system. Mercury is a bad toxin, so it's absorbed by the liver to get it away from places where it can do harm. So it thinks anyway. Continued exposure to mercury (such as in dental amalgam fillings) makes the liver have to absorb too much of it, so it creates an enzyme to escort the mercury out of the body. Unfortunately, the mercury enzyme closely resembles the gluten enzyme, so it's sent to the small intestine to digest the gluten there. However, the mercury enzyme doesn't digest gluten. It thinks the gluten enzyme looks like mercury, so it tries to digest the real gluten enzyme. That would still be okay because that would mean gluten would not be digested, and would simply pass through the system. Unfortunately, instead of digesting the enzyme, the two enzymes merge to become a different enzyme that digests the villi in the small intestine, and renders it unable to produce other digestive enzymes, thereby significantly reducing what foods I can digest. I can starve to death with a full stomach.

However, if I haven't eaten any gluten in several weeks, there are no gluten enzymes for the mercury enzymes to merge with, and so my small intestine grows its villi back and starts producing digestive enzymes again.

Maybe watch the food channel or go to the The Food Network website for different ideas for unusual dishes. My hubby loves to cook and he is always cooking us unusual foods. Makes eating fun and he cooks healthy and wholesome foods from scratch. Nothing processed. I know I get bored with eating sometimes. In fact, my hubby wasnt in the mood to cook creatively so he made hamburgers and I am bored with eating recipes that had ground beef in them so I didnt eat dinner. I am hungry but I dont know what I want to eat. Always been a problem for me.

Don't buy too much food or buy more than you plan to eat.

Plan out what you will eat during the week and get food just for that week.

Some people buy in bulk or buy certain foods cuz they're on sale, but don't realize that those food are left in the refrigerator for so long that they go bad.

get healthy foods as i am. Thats why i stay in lean :]

buy foods for the plan of the each week, its helpful. I agreed with Vamp.

should try that :]

What do you considered allergic to food mean?
Like break out in hives, swollen neck, violent diarrhea for 3 days straight, violently puking, etc?
I'm same way I'm allergic to beef (violent diarrhea for 3 days with 1/4 piece of pepperoni) and fish (swollen neck) I used to be extremely picky I would only eat pizza, hot pocket, chips, FEW soup, ice cream, baked chicken, crabs, few pasta, fried rice, mac cheese, few other basic food.
So Jason forced me to eat something I'd never eat like squash, cucmbers, zuchinni, carrots, eat pork, pierorgies, many many other foods and if I get in picky mood and starve myself all day he'd say "sometime you don't want eat any of what we have but you just have to deal with it, eat what you CAN "survive" eating" so I eat everyday now and added a lot more food I like eating to the list too and deal better with eating something I don't want to eat too.
I used to hate eating so much that I can't wait to get rid of food when I'm not hungry anymore (not eating until full, just until stop feel hunger) then toss food in trash and think it was such a waste of my time and super boring but now I enjoy eating if someone else cook for me and if I cook for myself I always splurge on tv dinner, favorite soup, something I like to eat so I still enjoy eating to keep my 90-98 weight stable (if I go back I'd drop to 80's)

hey guys, sorry I've not been responding, been too nauseous (sick again?) lately the last two days.

I'll be back reading and respond to all questions when I can.

:aw: thanks ..

I now know why I've been quite queasy lately .. and came here complaining about food lol.

I hate having a lot of food in the cabinets and then you sit there staring not knowing what the fuck to eat.

I used to hate doing that. Now I hate staring at only one thing to eat and wishing I could have something else :)

Try soy?

Tofu?

Those are what vegan eats. You sound like one.

I'm allergic to soy so I eat beef, chicken, and salad with no soy.

But in reality, I don't care, I still eat everything that has soy in it.
