I went to Best Buy and bought new Xbox 360 with HDMI to replace my old infamous of RROD 2005/2006ish Xbox 360 because it cause my room to be too warm and it did beat AC/fan combined at normal temperature.

I was surprised that newer Xbox 360 has smaller power brick since 2005/2006 was big. New Xbox 360 has HDMI and less heat, of course and my room is more cool now. I found out that HDMI has more contrast and significantly improve the graphic quality. I realized that carpet cause power brick to static and just need stay away from carpet.

It is worth to have recent Xbox 360.

Good job!

Newer CPU always better for less heat and less watt.

Well I just got a 360 Elite with HDMI 4 months ago to replace my PS3 (still in coma due to a busted blu ray laser) and Ill be damned that Elite lasted longer than my 3 Pro non-HDMI 360's. I havent had the Elite throw a RROD on me and not scratch my DVD's unlike the last three.

Having a ball playing Red Dead Redemption on it right now. I've been more paranoid and careful with the Elite and I have had a couple scares, but it all turn out fine.

I have always kept my power bricks on a HUGE piece of tile whenever they are on carpet. Last thing I need is the Fire Dept show up at my house....

In bold, I have this game and gotta love it.

I'm not concern about my Xbox 360 and expect that my Xbox 360 will be fine. I wasn't concern about old Xbox 360 either until got RROD in 2008 and replaced the motherboard. After that, I still have heat issue and time for me to replace in after 2 years. My new Xbox 360's motherboard is Jasper and hopefully it lasts longer.

Oh really, I always put the power brick on plush carpet and it seems not much affect to me until found a something from other websites and alerted me about could cause static.

Not interested because it won't compatible with my HDD and Xbox 360 doesn't have entire backup for DLC and saves because I have around 50 GB worth of DLC, saves and game installation.

From link.
Backwards Compatible. Your favorite accessories and games will work with Xbox 360 250GB. (Xbox 360 External Hard Drives and Memory Units are not compatible.)

It is good for first time Xbox 360 users.

Whoa!, this is very ironic! I read many posts said CONSOLE SUCK! I was like -Hope Foxarc being sarcastic or he is very serious?!-

anyway CONGRATS! Did you pick it up for 149 or 249 buck?

Yes it looks so awesome, I really tempt to get one! but i am still skeptical about XB360s. it makes me wondering MSFT was hurrry and XB360s is incomplete? Let wait and see how it turn out.

Plus new XB360s will replace on acrade console for 200 bucks, which will has not harddrive by this year or so.

No thats NOT true.. all games will tranfer from ole HDD to new HDD which is specified transfer hardware, otherwise USB..thats what I read Major Nelson's blog.

old removable Hard Drives and OEM Memory Units which meaning **WONT FIT** for new 360s, because it had redeigned console's hDD is inside and lack of OEM slot for MU unike ole console. You can use 3Party USB or buy their MSFT USB.

thats what I use 2x CORSAIR 16GB Flash USB for xbox 360.

Just sarcastic, man but I have mixed feeling about console.

I paid $199.99 Arcade version to replace my old 2006ish Xbox 360 due overheat issues.

I don't have USB flash that is greater than 4 GB and transfer entire of 50 GB of data will going take some time, however it maybe DRM issue because DLC has DRM that locked to profile and sometime, it won't load so have go to MS website to do license transfer.

@ Foxarc, Dude- you should have to wait till new xbox 360s will be available in any store for $199.99 in next month..

Too late and cannot return.

I'm fine with my Xbox 360.

Yeah.. but I am disappoint that BB is no longer offering the replacement plans for exchange if Xb360 ended up RODD. thats why I rather buy xb360 or console gaming system from superstore walmart or target offering return or exchange for 60 days instead BB.

I know that all stores nationwide have 14-30 days return for gaming console, also gaming console is part of electronic thing.
