Agreed. One must try to take a higher road. Things I might want to do and say I'll bite my tongue on.
I do plan on speaking to her boss today with the Union Shop Steward there.
 
I would thought they know you deaf if so then why you not tx..do you enjoy your job if so I think young lady needs be shown errors of her ways
 
Your boss is so flake! She was too lazy to come to get you! She was not doing HER job.

When I was younger, my former boss was like that. I had to bite my mouth after he made awful comments. If I bark back, it would make me look bad. Actually, the boss was transferred to other store, not because of me. He was a manipulative liar and a few employees filed an unrelated complaint against him. You need to document everything what this wretch boss said to you. I'm sorry that you had to experience that.

Mangements get stressed and give attitudes. Hopefully this situation gets resolved with both sides the union and the company.

I have the same issues with my boss about the announcements. She tells the hearing staff to let me know what her announcements say but sometimes my co workers are too busy doing other stuff and they forget. I have told my boss just email me the announcements but for some reason, it is too hard for her.

However, her announcements are very long and detailed that even my hearing co workers are saying that they would rather get emails of the announcements too because they cant listen and manage their classrooms/work with students at the same time so they are struggling as well.

I swear, some people are just so damn dense. Accodomations are so simple. That assistant manager is an idiot!
 
Being that it's been the Christmas holiday I never had a chance to finish the conversation with the store manager. He must have said something to her because she's been so sweet that sugar wouldn't melt in her mouth. If there's any one thing upper-management fears at my job it's a HR or discrimination grievance. There have been cases of no hearing they will just tell the offender to drop your keys at the desk and leave.
 
Yeah, I don't see suing really happening on account of 1 inconsiderate woman. If she persists in her manner I WILL take it to her boss and get an apology. She has a reputation and ALL the dept mgrs rag on her behind her back. I just don't want my hearing loss thrown in my face, especially in front of others.

If push came to shove I would tell her if she doesn't understand I can have someone from HR and a representative from the FEDERAL Americans With Disabilities Act of 1999 explain it to her. I think that might get her attention.

You could be xferred out and with your tracking, at least you'll be able to show what happened. I thought the vibrator on your phone or pager would work but you know your situation better. After 29 years, she should be reprimanded by management and I know the implications of it.

Thank you for the concern. As a log I have these postings I can pull back up as needed. A transfer is unlikely as there's only so many places to be sent to. Also there is always other ways to be they can get to me. ie: unfinished paperwork, inaccurate counts in computer inventory, missing tags on items in showcases, inaccurate prices, out of date product sent in and not credited for and a myriad of other things.
"GO ALONG TO GET ALONG".
Any further incidents and I will grieve it. I guess everyone should get the benefit of the doubt...once. A few days and my temper has had time cool down. With age comes wisdom.
