I got a new tattoo

while I applaud you for being so supportive of your son- you clearly do care a great deal about him-, I don't really agree with making it a puzzle, as that tends to imply being "broken" or unsolvable and needing "fixing".

One of my Aspie friends got a rainbow infinity symbol instead. Personally, I'll keep my pride without getting any sharp objects near me!

Thanks - Ha Ha, Like I would be mooning my own butt to the tattoo artist to have one? I think not! LOL

Gee, OceanBlue - You're so silly! One of my cardinal rule is - NO names are to be etched on my body except for my sons. That is just about it, ha.

Jolie, I am kidding:giggle: it was worth a try

Hey Jolie,

Very beautiful tattoo you got there, it got really awesome colors and puzzles pieces around it. You are very brave to get an tattoo for yourself about your son who had got autism.

Ahhh Jolly, you went and got yourself inked! WTG and that is an excellent taste of choice. not only you are supporting your son, you are also supporting those that have autsim.

I have a tat now and i want a couple more later on when money and time is right.

I didn't know your son is autistic. that's a great thought for having a tattoo like that! i've seen the magnets before on vehicles (puzzle like)

How old is your oldest?

That's cool tattoo you got there. I heard that dealing with Autism is very challenging but rewarding. I was watching a documentary about this and I'm amazed how much work it progress over the years. That reminds me of a movie, "Rain Man".

THUD!!! You finally got the tattoo done. Way to go and a great piece of artwork done showing ur great fondness and strong advocate for Autisum Assoc. What a nice way to showing ur support for ur boys. Am really proud of u that u finally brave those needles and got it done. Well done Joile.

I am looking at Celtic design to have one put around my arm but it one colour black imagine the pain ehh. Been there done that with the black and it can be a real killer of a pain so am thinking pretty carefully on this design.

Awesome tat. who did it and where did you get the new ink done at?

I'm thinking of getting three more tats done, but it's going to be expensive. *sigh*

Hey there, Bawky - Long time no see. Indeed, That is true. All the more the reason why I got this tattoo. It is not only about my son but for others too. What kind of tattoo do you have now?

Yeah - I was trying to think of what kind of tattoo I wanted to have. I wanted something that is different, not so common but yet at the same time, I wanted it to be recognizable as well. So, It dawned on me that I came up with the idea of using that to incorporate that into a band - lo and behold, here's the tattoo. My oldest is 7 years old.

LOL - It sounded like you were surprised by this, eh? :giggle: Thank You. Yeah, I thought it would be painful but it wasn't that bad at all. :) Ooo - I am already picturing the celtic design in my head. I can imagine that it will turn out to be beautiful too! Ah, yes - the black lining was a bit painful but in overall, it wasn't that bad as I thought it would be. Good Luck on your endeavour as well :)

It was at Studio Ink here in this town. The artist did an excellent job and a friend of mine referred me to go and check that place out. I wasn't going to do it at a seedy place or somewhere that does not have a professional approach - and also most importantly, it's got to be certified due to the safety of the health which I am sure you're aware of.

I'm thinking about getting 1 or 2 more tattoos but that is not going to happen in the soon near future. It will come up somewhere down the road.

Wow that is awesome! Tattoo! :D I want one for myself, but I NEVER really did. lol Me jealous! Hee hee! you are the brave to do it. AHHHHHHHHHHHH

Anyway! Nice tattoo!

Heh - I totally can understand how you're feeling about this. You just got to pucker up and have courage or otherwise you wouldn't know what it is like. :) Also, Thank You.

Very pretty colors ! Wonderin', if your son's father will get the same as well ? Me curious :D

Thanks - I wouldn't know if my son's father is going to get one but you can always ask him if you want to know.

Dunno tho lol

Thank You. ;) That would be nice to have something that represents not only for yourself but the love you have for your family. Are you thinking of trying to find a symbol or you've already found one but at the same time, you're unsure where to put it on your body?

U are very welcome.... :)
Actually, I am thinking of my left lower shoulder next to my heart(near my breast, glup!) but I am not sure tho and it will be either black or just brown.. I do not know yet tho just thinking abt it... since my father died and i did not have anything to carry with me as have not enough pix of him...a better pix actually but none tho... sooo wait and see lol... kind of scared tho cuz if on below my shoulder...ah near my breast I mean lol that was what I mean cuz I am damn too shy! Or maybe somewhere!

2 days ago, I went to the tattoo parlor and got what I wanted. Some of you know that I have a son who has autism. I wanted something that is advocate but yet, prompting awareness. The tattoo I have now is what I wanted for myself because it is personal.

When I went in the parlor, I was making a request to have a color on each puzzle and the artist suggested that it would look better when the color blends (or fade) together outside of the lining to give it an enhanced look. At first, I was a bit reluctant because I wanted it inside the puzzle but then, the more I saw to it, I thought it would be even better to give it a definite meaning. So, I went for it. Sure enough, It looked much better than I had originally thought.

It was funny because before I had the tattoo, I thought it would have hurted a lot more. It didn't hurt that much at all. It only hurts when the artist put the black lining on me. The colors were just a breeze.

Autism is something that needs to be educated because 1 in 166 children are diagnosed with these condition. There is an unknown cause to what causes autism. There are dozens of theories as to why or what causes autism. With research and being aware of it, more of us would be educated about it.

The colorful puzzle is the symbol for Autism.

Anyway, Here's some pictures enclosed of my tattoo. I hope you guys like it as much as I do. ;)

It was so beautiful and i watched the processing and the colors fade so perfect.. .
