LuciaDisturbed--please, you are arguing on technicalities.
Everyone--I think there has been a few misunderstandings here.
1) Deafmedical poet is claiming that the all conditions she listed she listed were responsible for almost killing her.
Not so. She is saying the CO poisoning almost killed her.
She was describing the overall conditions that were in addition to the CO poisoning. CO poisoning is known to be possibly fatal, hence the term poisoning. So it doesn't follow to say she can survive a broken toilet--of course she can.
2) Deafmedicalpoet's boss intentionally tried to kill her.
Yes, Deafmedicalpoet said that her boss tried to kill her, but she was speaking figuratively, in the same way we often say in response to almost running someone over on the street, "what are you trying to kill me?" The driver is obviously not actually trying to kill the pedestrian. It's a way of saying "you almost killed me." In this case, the CO poisoning almost killed Deafmedicalpoet. Taking this figure of speech literally is arguing technicalities.
Hope that helps mediate. After all, Deafmedicalpoet had an emotional experience and I think it is only fair for us to come from a place of compassion.
