That is really bizarre. Have you really been to Canada before? I have been to Canada a lot and always locked my car or hotel doors. I dont feel any safer in Canada than I do here. No difference. There is a lot of crime in Canada too. Canada is not a paradise as you make it out to b. Yes, I think Canada is beautiful and wonderful, especiallly British Columbia. I enjoy visiting Vancouver but yes it is not immune to crime. No country is immune to crime period.

I do suggest that you visit Canada yourself to see what the reality is there.

Another example of this is the Florida Keys, where I live. There's crime here, but you don't hear of the gang murders and such that you do up in Miami and points northward. You don't hear about killings down here. Our crime usually is domestic violence oriented. Drug crime is big also. Even still, a lot of people DO NOT lock their doors at night. It gives one a false sense of security. My point is, and I know Meg was making the same points about canada, is that it doesn't matter where you live. Crime is everywhere, and you can't just be laxed about your surroundings.

You can't get away from law enforcement. They protect us and our property from harm. Grow up, Steve. The police aren't your enemy. YOU are your own enemy here.

Yeah...and they hate you. They think you have better things to do than drive around with your brights on.....and why would he give you a warning? Its obvious you don't understand what anyone tells you. That ticket pissed you off enough for you to remember it this long...so I bet you won't drive around with your brights on blinding all of the other drivers.

Of course, your probably the type of person that if somebody is driving towards you and forgets to turn off their brights, you will turn yours on to blind them back....Why would you do that if leaving your brights on isn't a bad thing?

And Taylor is there a law say off duty police officers are exeption from getting a ticket from speeding or other traffic offenses? If not why are their buddy officers who saw off duty officers show him the badge instead of licence and registration? After he sees the badge officer takes the ticket book and tells the officer now drive safely and have a good night. But if that was an ordinary driver he would write him a ticket..Now explain that ok?

RS, I see your point..you were trying to say its not right for off duty police go speeding and gets pull over by another police...then off duty police shows his badge to the police...then police let him go free without giving him a ticket.

I havent thought about that and I think that off duty police should be treated the same as us. They should receive tickets like us do. However, unfortunately, it doesnt happen. Most of off duty gets to go free without getting a ticket, I believe.

Cause i didnt know i had em on..I share my car with my father.I dont know what shit he changes or leaves on like fooling with my mirrors changing the radio station. I just came home from a doubleheader and was crusing down the road at 11PM and the deputy behind me put his flashing lights on.He said lincece and registration. And i did exactly as he says and he said ok,,ill be back,, And then i waited 10 minutes and he said you know why i pulled ya over steve? (He called me by my first name instead of saying sir!) And i said no ,,was i speeding or weaving? He said well i didnt stop ya because youre speeding or for a DUI.But you have your brights on..He said then listen up steve im gonna write you up for leaving your brights on i said i have my headlights on theyre not off...Hey is your hearing aid working?? i Said yes. He said your brights you know you high beams..I looked abnd said whoops i didnt know i have em on.. He said sign here..I said well i didnt know em i had em on could you just give me a warning ... He said nope i just wrote out your ticket and you have 3 choices... You can pay the fine which is $77 and take 3 points on your lincece or you can go to school and pay extra $40 and no points Or you can go to court..I said well my dad plays around my car and i had no idea i had em on ... He said,,,Well i dont care and you drive safe. ...Now What you think how i should feel taylor? Oh Yeah Just forget it? I can beat the living shit outta my dad then he really throw me outta the house,..So i tried to get the sheriff to complain and they wont let me see him.Then i went to his mom and then i went to rodney black and now i contacted the states representive and theyre doing a trap on sheriff mascara. I cant wait untill he makes a mistake.
