As with ceremonial funerals of certain ancient digniteries, sacrifice offerings take place like the execution of criminals as part of a funeral procession. So as with Gerald Ford's funeral next week, I wonder if Saddam's hanging a sacraficial offering to the dignitary's funeral.

Death of Saddam is the beginning of horror to come

The world is being at mental pause to witness the end of tryant leader being executed for his war crime on shiites in 1982 and countless crimes he committed. Death of Iraq dictator mark the more horror to come. Iraq will heal from deep wound however, there are eerie sound coming from middle east....Russia are busy selling and making many deals with regional of middle east especially not Israel, regard nuclear weapons and all miliatary equipement. Russia want 2 things to make big money in order to get it back to communism and restored to evil empire once it was. Iran and other middle east are making sweet deal with Russia will give eerie sound abt unheard battles for time to come. Many people will greatly ignore the countless stories of mess in middle east but little known to them this they will realize this it will become part of world affair. Russia leader Vladmir Putin insulted Bush and America for being international affair dictatorship, mean it is dawn of new battle to come....so don't be surpise.

I am happy Saddam is dead for what he did to his own countrymen and affected another nations in the process of time with a raging war that spanned nearly 20 years, from the Iraq-Iran war conflict then to the Gulf War where we went in for Desert Sheild / Desert Storm and remember Saddam also attacked Israel with missiles during Desert Storm then Saddam gave training and logistical support to the Al Qaeda and we went in to stop Saddam, this time for real. Now the country of Iraq can really heal.

I am surprised the library did not block this one, obivously they don't know about this one. I saw it but it did not really show Saddam actually being lynched. Is there one that does actually show Saddam being hanged from start to finish ? The library also does not allow youtube.com too as well.

the reason why it did not really show Saddam being lynched etc
only because I recalled reading somewhere that
it's NOT allowed (but I cannot remember "who" refused
to allow this etc)

Even though I am very glad that Hussein has been hung, I have a bad feeling...something bad might happen...intuition. As soon as I heard that he's been hung, a bad feeling came over me. It's been bothering me all night. I really hope I am wrong and nothing will happen.

I agree Lucia, my guts said the same thing and I do have my concerns, I was happy Saddam is dead on one hand and on another hand I am concerned for the U.S. Troops as well as at home here. We do not need another 9/11 type of attack but if it does happen then for sure we will be kicking the daylights out of the Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden will be hunted down until he is shot dead by the U.S.Troops/Allied Troops too as well. Afghanstain may be a big place but the noose surely is slowly being lashed tight on Osama Bin Laden's neck as he walks towards his own death.

Here is the dictionary definition of "lynch":

"To execute without due process of law, especially to hang, as by a mob."

Saddam was not "lynched"; he was lawfully executed by hanging.
