Hundreds evacuated in CA after dangerous explosive found

Solvang is beautiful Danish town with great food. It sucks to see something like this to happen in this nice town.
 
Wonder who sent it? If a soldier shipped it, that's a serious violation of conduct. They're not supposed to keep ordinance even as souvenirs.
 
My folks and I went to Solvang one of the times we visited my aunt and her family in CA.

Damn you over-reaction! I thought it would have been MOAB (Mother Of All Bombs).

This thing is very common in Germany, many still not found yet and ready to Kaboom. Sometimes they were forced to kaboom there when the bomb squad couldn't defuse these bomb due to instability or rust, then have to blow up at that spot. Rule of thumb, always defuse the bomb before moving it, failure to do so, one's life depends on how they move it because if bomb is "fused" and if one small bump its over, pretty much.

^^ would flatten an entire COMMUNITY. And create a crater so deep, too.
 
Do you have an idea what MOAB is? At first I thought it was MOAB because the way it sounded like, evacuated at 1,500 feet radius, That is circle of over half a mile. MOAB can level at that size, this one would level only maybe 500 feet circle. Don't worry I know it is not your fault.

MOAB is world's largest conventional bomb, only military has them.

Daisy cutter is even more lethal, its intention was to flatten large field so can have military plane land on. For example, drop Daisy cutter on mid size city, that mid size city will be gone, and ready for plane landing in matter of minutes! Scary? Yeah!

I've heard of them-- they have some of the highest security around them, that much I know, and only a select few know where they are. Otherwise, all information is pretty much classified.
 
Yeah, they were very highly classified, I have made some parts for these bombs years ago. I have no idea what these small parts are used for in these bombs. These military do let contractors make parts for the bombs, and the catch is, not a single contractor makes everything for a bomb, this will never happen due to security concerns, so they have chains of several contractors making various parts for them, the final assembly is done inside of military bases with everybody that got specific security clearance for the final assembly.

And those who do the final assembly can never tell a soul what they did or where. Employees and military people like these are those that are high ranking, and are capable of keeping secrets pertaining to national security. If one does spill the beans, isn't that punishable by death? Because treason is a death penalty crime.
 
Those moabs are so big that a fighter jet can't carry them. Instead they have to use a cargo plane and not only that they use a parachute to delay the descent so that the plane has enough time to avoid the blast.

You're talking nuclear bombs. The US used two atom bombs to end the war against Japan in 1945, and they were carried by planes like those cargo planes you mentioned.
 
Oh yup! I have no problem with that because it is all about security. I just simply don't want any terrorist to find out how they do it. Best thing is just just shut the **** up, it creates peace in some way.
