I consider myself Hoh/Deaf.
I'm profoundly deaf (+100Db) on my right and I have mild/mod flux loss on my left.
Although I am able to communicate orally in quite places, I'm more comfortable using ASL. I have ALWAYS felt more Deaf than "hearing", and have always valued ASL and Deaf Culture - it took me a long time (*and many conversations with many culturally Deaf people here) to come to the Hoh/Deaf "label" for myself ... but for me it really is the most accurate way to explain not only how I hear (or don't) but also how I think and see myself.
