How to stay safe while sleeping in a cool/cold house

We camp in a tent and the bathroom/shower building is a lot further away than that. It's kept up very clean.

Ah, no wonder you said mad dash. Now I got it.

I've fell asleep in our Lazy-Boy Chair, along with a thick blanket and the Pets....
One thing I do love is tomato or chicken soup while watching TV...and a scented "Cinnamon Bun" candle...anything smelling like Cinnamon is soothing (to me)....

I've used a winter coat for my legs/feet. Just slip your feet into the sleeves. Pull the coat over yourself.

All my furniture is from Lazy-Boy...very comfortable, yes! The Chair is very wide...so enough room for my doggie and Cat.

I found the photo below by using Google. It is very similar to what we heated with when I was growing up. It burns oil which in our case was fed from a large tank outside. But they also came with a small one on the back that could be filled manually. They were manufactured in Centralia, Illinois and one of my classmates in high school was the daughter of the owner.

How this fits in with this thread is that we kept the bedroom doors closed rather that try to push the heat around to them. I would take what we called a "sheet blanket" and run it across the top of the oil stove to warm it and then take it along to bed. By wrapping up in it and they pulling other blankets over I didn't have to wait for body heat to warm the bed.

Alaska is actually warmer than the rest of the US for a change. There's a polar vortex over a huge part of the US, and it's making our weather very cold and making it warm in Alaska. Even parts of the US that are normally warm (like wearing t shirts and shorts in winter) are cold.
