How old were you when you first gave your girl a flower for the very first time? :aw:



My son asked us to get a flower for his "girlfriend". He's only 9 yrs old. SO my hub got the flowers yesterday. Of course one for me (early valentines day) so my son had one rose ready for his girl today for valentines day and birthday. how sweet. :eek3:

Good question. I did it in high school, but I must have done it before that too.

Very impressionable time for a kid.
 
I hardly remember. No one wanted to be my Valentine in high school or college. My life F--sucks!! I don't even have a valentine today either.

Maybe I should blame Peter Gabriel?
 
Gave a rose to my girlfriend from high school at the time, but don't remember if it was on Valentines Day. Gave it to her when we started dating.
 
I think I was about 8 years old. I only did it because she promised to show me something if I did. :naughty:
 
I was 5, gave it to her on the playground at the First Baptist Church school playground.

Is a valentine someone you have or someone you wish to have? If you believe it is the latter, I'm sure you have a valentine.

If you have a specific person in mind, you have to ask. It's a risk, but anything that is worth anything is a risk.

If there is someone you want to ask out, send the valentine. You won't know unless you ask them out.

We get more rejection than hearing people when asking out hearing people, but that doesn't mean we don't get any dates.

But will a turbocharged '68 Camaro convertible appreciate a valentine card?

Derek, I haven't had a valentine since my husband passed away in '09. My teenaged daughter has bought me roses in the past (didn't get any today - at least not yet) because that's what my husband would have done.

Chin up. It's only one day and it's been highly commercialized for years.
 
I was maybe 4 or 5. I gave her buttercups and dandelions. Her name was Billie.
