geee Mew you're so Ageist!! no very nice, you're gonna get old too

It's not that per se, they typically have bad hygiene and manners. :ugh:

Exactly.... You have to live here to know what we're talking about... it's not the age... it's the Florida tourist mentality. Profoundly rude and annoying people....

You're not a bum, but you can be a honey bunny if you want to... :laugh2:

I prefer to be a kitty.... they are soft and cuddly but have claws and sharp teeth to bite when they want to which is awesome! :D :thumb: Plus I'm pale... :( Stupid Eastern European crap!

High 70's right now, and today's high is supposed to be 80, and partly cloudy.

That remind me of the time I was at a shoe store with a friend and I told my friend that they only had little lady shoes here. A little old lady overheard me and said " You're going to be a little old lady one day too!"

The weather is great here today . we're getting a nice ocean breeze and it should last to Wed.

There's tourists there.... :ugh: and... and... and.... Ooooooooooooooooold people...... :ugh:  THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you BEEN out lately!?!

 Reminds me not to try for a Florida retirement.

Hopefully I can go to a nice contained facility with all provided so youth never has to look upon me...

As for today's weather, very humid after many storms yesterday. Went to the store and a nice young man got gluten free buns off a top freezer shelf for me.

(Of course he could have been fifty or so...)

Its marking 131.... Not sure thats right but it is hot

Thermometer is off just a bit.....High in your area today 108º

Anything over 100º is pretty much hell.

Here today it is a lot cooler then they said it would be. 90º right now but we have a really nice breeze.

Stay COOL Dreamer!!!!

Ah, I know why. The thermostat must be on a hot wall. I remember one year that my hometown was reading 113, which, for Illinois in general, is just not possible. Turns out the thermostat was on a hot wall, and that hot wall was 15-20 degrees hotter, so that's why ît was reading 113. It was actually 98 degrees that day.

I probably won't live to get really old, but from where I sit it looks like fun.

My stepmother decided this year at 90 to go live in a retirement community. It's pretty cool. People can have a dog, they have three nice meals a day with nice table service.

The apartments are nice and come with cable, maid service, and wifi included.

I would go tomorrow, except for my three dogs, and my husband who loves our home and property.

There are quite a few senior, retirement communities around here. I volunteer at one that looks like a five star hotel. They have super nice rooms, with patio, resteraunts etc.

My father-in-law stays at a really nice place in Illinois. Super super expensive though but geared more toward people that need medical attention and lots of help. He is I think 92 but has severe Alzheimer's.

There is another that has smaller homes, golf course, pool, tennis courts etc. I would love to move there in about ten years. We need less home up keep and more fun. I want my hubby to retire early so we can be healthy enough to still have fun.

I really want to downsize to a two bedroom house, small yard with very little upkeep. Need my daughter to come home from Ireland and get all her stuff out of one of the bedrooms.
No more two story houses, my knees don't like the stairs. I also want one large family room instead of having a family room and formal living room. Only time we sit out there is Christmas morning.

Like Botti, my hubby loves our house. It will definitely be hard to convince him to move one day.

Here in Western Australia, we're in severe weather warning in last few days and also today, with strong wind and rain (thunderstorms, hails etc)

But it's good to have rain, hopefully it will break the drought.
