It might be better just to avoid bear areas.:P

Yea, but there's not any for hiking camps. Because its' a waste of resource. :P

I once saw the bear attacking the garbage cans, there was a fish in there. I wasn't even close at all, I was stopped by the forest ranger who was supervising the bear. He said, gotta let the bear work it out. I kinda laughed. The bear kept at it until it got really really hungry, the other ranger lured it into the wild, after that I wanted to follow the bear, but my parents wanted me to live longer. So yea.

dang it. i wanted to know what happened at the end.

Try desert mountain ranges, not much of a chance running into critters ten times your weight, but the horizon views are gorgeous! One thing, wear tough hikers, cactus are pretty varied and unpredictable.

Oh one more thing.

If you see a mother bear.

Yea, you're screwed. She's like 10x bigger than the males. LoL. I saw once when I was riding with a group of friends for a bike ride, BAM, that mother was in the street, we stopped hard and watched for like 2 minutes, then saw 3 baby bears, we all freaked out cause that means THAT IS THE MOTHER. We backed up so quickly to give space to that woman.

Like I said, LARGE WOMEN = MY FEAR!

Oh you didn't encounter any spiders? I heard there could be a spider that weights about 50 LBS!!!

In the desert of course. They all live in catci.

No, but 50 lbs!? The only arachnid I noticed were a few scorps and small sidewinder snakes - no big deal!

There are no trails, we usually hiked along loose rock formations, at higher altitudes, you will start to notice some trees, though the best part is the veiw. I love to watch the sun play on the sky in different colors.

How many bottles of water did you have for that hike?

i use camelbak

Nice.

Me too. Best for bike-riding cause of handling bottles while riding.

Also, best for house parties where you don't have to buy their boozes, you bring a big jacket and hide the camelpak in the jacket. No one will know until you're very drunk. :P

In Alaska, I think, the permit for carrying a handgun aren't necessary nor require. Alaska is almost lawless for gun issues. Yep, I'm moving up there and change my username to Alaskan Guy.

.45 ACP caliber is the best chance to against the bears for cheaper, more ammunitions, easy to carry, and less recoil than a magnum revolver.

Play dead? Oh, I doubt it. I'd rather to shoot the bear than a play dead.

You might bump into Sarah Palin. :cool2: oh yea - don't forget to use JHP rounds

A hot milf, she is. :naughty: Oh, so, are her hot daughters.

True about JHP rounds, yeah.

The Palins are overweighted. Not pretty.

So you're saying that if I visited Alaska, I can carry guns? Nice. Looks like I can add "guns" to my list, right below "marijuana".

The things that I need to travel in Alaska.

They aren't that fat, they're meaty. :cool2:

Yeah, you can but how are you going to do it at the Canadian/US border? Not sure about Canada and British Columbia on gun issues.

I'm not that dumb.

I'll buy it in Alaska or steal it off some natives.
