Anyone knows? I'm thinking of going to Alaska wildlife forest where no human can live naked.

Good job.

You lay on ground with arm covered your head. The bear will gradually smell you, as long as you don't have food on you, the bear will leave you alone.

But there's a small chance of the bear staying in the area for a long time. If that happens, do not move at all, ever until the bear has eaten all of the food you had at teh campsite.

Another one is to have a huge branch, light it on fire, and swing it to the bear. Works on lions, vultures, and tigers.

Very useful if you live in the forest. But most of the time, a person would be equipped with something to defend oneself.

yeah.. regular campsite, so i usually put all food in the car. NOT in tent or pop tent. thats all i can think of..

I believe it's the law to carry weapon. maybe only for Alaskans. :dunno: you'll have to check with rangers. My friend's 2 friends carried pistols with hollowpoint rounds when hiking at Pennsylvania. The bear just suddenly charged toward them for no reason and they emptied whole magazines on him. He died just a feet away from them. lucky bastards they are.

On few campsites which is highly populated with bears has box with lock on it. And Trash cans, but that doesn't stop the bears from coming to the campsites.

bad idea. DO NOT STORE FOOD IN YOUR CAR. the bear will tear your car up to get food. Simply store all food in a bag and use the rope to hang it over the thick tree branch.

...and make sure that tree branch is located a safe distance from your tent.

Oh Ouchie.. I have heard about it., better for anyone who go hiking in a strange forests and sleep in tent. again, You are right about it.

but for campsite, not hiking camping. i am willing to take a risk for it.

Actually, food in car is safer than what you sugguested, because of the car alarm and lights.

It'd go off if teh bear tried to hijack it. And the bear would be in fear.

Campsites have bear-reinforced garbage cans so..... :hmm: you never know!

but then.... the car will have broken window and/or nasty scratch. That's a few hundred bucks to replace and it's gonna suck to drive around w/ open window.

Yea, but there's not any for hiking camps. Because its' a waste of resource. :P

I once saw the bear attacking the garbage cans, there was a fish in there. I wasn't even close at all, I was stopped by the forest ranger who was supervising the bear. He said, gotta let the bear work it out. I kinda laughed. The bear kept at it until it got really really hungry, the other ranger lured it into the wild, after that I wanted to follow the bear, but my parents wanted me to live longer. So yea.
