You didn't call the police for that did you?...Prior to that, the last time we had a major emergency was when lightening struck a tree, and took out a power line connecting the house to the main wires in the back. That branch not only took out power wires, but it also damaged the electric meter pretty badly, too, and major repairs were needed, along with a major upgrade to our fuse box.
I know that a furnace going bad in the winter is pretty serious but calling the police is just a bit too much; they have to handle more serious emergencies like robberies, DUIs, break-ins, etc...
Did it ever occur you just to contact the property management directly? Getting the police involved can really piss people off and you might end up on bad terms with the management.
Shipping furniture is expensive. When my daughter bought a lot of Ikea furniture they borrowed a big truck and drove to Georgia (from SC) to pick it up.No, I didn't. I learn something new everyday, but what restrictions do they have? And is it free? Actually, know what? Never mind. I'll do the research myself.

Try buying used furniture and fixing it up. Much cheaper, and more character and personalization in the pieces you do yourself.
Do your parents have anything they can pass down to you?

A desk is something you can definitely buy used....I still need a desk, though, and I'll figure it out. For now, my older TV's and my other stuff will stay on the east side of my room. My electronics I use are in the southwest side of my room.
Like reporting fake quartersI rarely go into the station itself, unless it was an extreme emergency
Can your parents bring it to you? Do you have any other relatives or friends who can bring it to you? They might. Problem is, I can't transport it on the Amtrak nor the #151 Sheridan bus.

"Older TV's?" How many do you have? Why? Those take up space and add nothing (zero) to your room decor. They are dust catchers. One TV per room is plenty.
What are the dimensions of your room? How many doors, windows, and closets? Is a bathroom attached? These are important considerations for your room design.

If dust bothers you, you need to get rid of stuff. That might explain why I'm dealing with a runny nose and sneezing; dust is something I'm allergic to. And I have a 26" flat screen as my primary TV
What are the dimensions? And one door, window, and closet. No bathroom attached, although that would be nice.

Similar to a small kitchen. The kitchen here and my room are about the same size. You know what? I have an idea.
