Okay. The reason why I am starting this thread is because there is a High Wind Warning for the area tonight, and the risk of injury or damage is very great-- wind gusts up to 60 MPH can do plenty of damage. I have an appointment somewhere prior to it hitting, but I am hoping I get back in the house BEFORE it hits.

Anyways.... I'm curious.... when inclement weather hits, how do you cope with that? (Not counting tornadoes and hurricanes, okay?)

I mutter incoherently and shake my fist at the sky in solitary defiance.

Look how windy it is. Poor ducks.

Just accept the fact that Mother Nature doesn't know ASL yet. Maybe one day, she would learn ASL to listen to our needs.

Well. The first thing I do is make yet another thread about the weather.

Since you don't want to know about hurricanes, I'll say I just stay home when the weather is real bad.

Hub and I both stayed home - he's working from home.
There's a state DOT site that I can check that had maps and sections by Interstate or highway, and it tells whether a certain freeway is "good winter driving", "slippery" etc. Also had incident listings.

He doesn't want to know about hurricanes? No no of course, they wouldn't affect him ;)

There was a few times I had to deal with wind in Myrtle beach, for hurricane warnings and tropical storms. But if we're not talking about that I won't say what I did for it :D

Quick, go hide in the closet. Dont come out and get on the internet til we say its safe.

You haven't seen my newest post yet, have you? I look completely different now. Check out the Pics of You section to see what I look like now. Mind you-- the hair is different.

Great. In addition to the High Wind Warning, we also have a Dense Fog Advisory. Wonder what else the wacky weather will give us today?

I know you should take things off your decks and bring then inside so they'll not become a flying object and break a window .

That was what we had to do before Superstorm Sandy hit us.
